One of my go-to drinks—especially in the summer—is LMNT. It’s a clean, flavorful electrolyte mix that supports hydration, energy, and muscle function without any sugar, artificial ingredients, or junk.
When I am needing a midday boost, LMNT helps me feel balanced and energized. With the right amount of sodium, magnesium, and potassium, it’s great for reducing brain fog, fighting fatigue, and preventing that “drained” feeling—especially if you’re active or just needing to refresh your body.
Plus, it tastes amazing. My favorite flavor is Lemonade or Citrus. You can order online in the cans or they also offer a single powder packet you can add to your own water.
What I'm Reading This Month
I’ve been diving into The Science of Yoga by Ann Swanson—and it’s such a great read for anyone curious about how yoga actually supports our body and brain. It blends modern science with ancient wisdom, showing how different poses, breathwork, and mindfulness practices can reduce stress, improve flexibility, support the nervous system, and even enhance heart and brain health.
I’m also taking the 12-week course with the author, and it’s been an amazing deep-dive into the “why” behind the practice I love. It’s helping me bring even more intention, understanding, and care into my teaching—and I can’t wait to keep sharing what I learn with you!
Self-Care Tip of the Month
Nourish Your Nervous System: Why It Matters for Stress Relief
Our nervous system is the control center of our body—it’s what helps us respond to the world around us. When it’s regulated and supported, we feel calm, clear-headed, and grounded. But when it’s overwhelmed, we can feel anxious, tense, reactive, or completely drained.
That’s why learning how to regulate your nervous system is one of the most important things you can do for your health and wellness.
Here are a few simple ways to support your nervous system (especially during stressful seasons):
Breathe slow and deep Try box breathing or simply lengthening your exhale—it signals safety to your body and helps calm the stress response.
Move gently Whether it’s a walk, a few stretches, or a yoga class—movement helps release tension and bring your system back into balance.
Ground yourself in the moment Notice what you see, hear, feel, or smell. Try stepping outside barefoot, holding a warm cup of tea, or simply placing your hand over your heart.
Connect with God through stillness or prayer Spending just a few minutes in quiet reflection or breath prayer can help settle your heart and re-center your soul.
Rest on purpose Regulation isn’t about “doing more”—it’s about building rhythms of rest that restore you. Even five minutes of intentional rest can shift your state.
The more we practice these small habits, the more easily our body learns to return to calm. This is where healing, clarity, and strength live—and it’s where we show up as our best, most present selves.
