August 2025
~ helping women flourish in body, mind, and soul ~
Welcome to the Flourish Newsletter! Each month, we focus on nurturing your body, mind, and soul—empowering you to bloom into your best self. In this space, you'll find inspiration, self-care tips, and resources to help you manage stress, cultivate balance, and embrace a joyful, thriving life. Whether you’re here to reflect, rejuvenate, or take action, I am excited to walk this journey with you. Let’s flourish together!
I’ve always loved a fresh set of markers or pens (might be the teacher in me!). As a kid, nothing beat opening a brand-new box of crayons—especially the big box of 64 with the sharpener on the back - you know the one. This month’s favorite? A set of colored erasable pens that are actually erasable. So fun, smooth to write with, and yes—they really do erase completely. They make journaling, planning, and even doodling feel extra fun, like a kid again.
What I'm Reading This Month
I’m hosting my first-ever family book read this month—everyone is reading Theo of Golden alongside me! At the end of the September, we’ll gather to share our thoughts about Theo’s kindness, his impact on Golden, and how his story resonates with our own lives. I’m especially excited to hear how each of the readers experiences the themes of creativity, community, and compassion woven throughout the book.
As I have started reading the novel, I am struck by themes of kindness, wonder, and the beauty of being truly seen—reminders of how little, everyday acts can ripple far beyond our imagination. It's a great read.

What I'm Practicing This Month
Eating My Frogs: A Simple Strategy to Beat Procrastination & Build Confidence
Ever feel like you're busy all day but still avoiding the thing that matters most? Brian Tracy’s concept of “Eat That Frog” is a simple, powerful mindset shift. 👉 Your "frog" is your biggest, most meaningful task—the one you're most likely to put off.
The idea is simple: Do the hard thing first. When I start my day by tackling what matters most—before distractions take over—I build momentum, confidence, and clarity. I remind yourself: ✔️ I can do hard things. ✔️ I show up for my life. ✔️ I trust myself with meaningful priorities.
Over time, this isn’t just a productivity hack—it becomes a rhythm. A daily act of alignment. By choosing to eat the frog early, I create a grounded, intentional start to my day. My goal is to become someone who leads with focus, follows through with courage, and builds a life I am proud of—one decision, one rhythm at a time.
So this August, name your frog… and eat it early. Let it be the rhythm that sets the tone for the life you’re creating. Let me know if you give it a try.
This is the kind of mindset shift I love walking women through in my coaching sessions. If you're ready to reset your rhythms, stop putting yourself last, and build a life that feels focused and fulfilling—I’d love to invite you into coaching with me. We can start by identifying your “frog”… and rediscovering the strength that’s already inside you. Let me know if you'd like more information about my coaching program. I work with a coach - each week it's oxygen for my soul.
Sweeten Smarter: Why I Love Monk Fruit with Allulose I finally found a blood sugar-friendly sweetener that actually tastes good. Monk fruit with allulose is a natural, low-glycemic blend that provides sweetness without the sugar crash. It has no aftertaste, doesn’t spike insulin, and works beautifully in baking—making it one of my new go-to choices for healthy, feel-good treats. Monk fruit is a small, naturally sweet fruit that’s been used for centuries in traditional medicine. It grows on a vine in parts of China and Thailand and is now a popular way to sweeten foods without the sugar. The sweetness comes from the juice, which is gently processed into a powder or liquid. I love it because it’s a natural, zero-calorie option that’s kind to blood sugar and easy to substitute in most recipes.
Stretch of the Month ~simple moves to refresh your body and mind~
Side body stretch, is one of my favorite restorative poses. You simply lie on your back and gently curve your body like a banana—legs, hips, and feet to one side, arms reaching overhead in the same direction as your legs, hips, and feet. It’s a beautiful way to open up through the side body, creating space in the ribs, waist, and even down into the outer hips and IT band. It’s simple, supportive, and oh-so-good for releasing tension we don’t even realize we’re holding.
And if getting on the floor isn’t ideal, the same stretch can be done standing. Just reach your arms overhead and gently lean to one side—same shape, same sweet benefits.
Important Note:
As always with any poses, remember to take care of yourself and consult your doctor before beginning any exercise program.
Self-Care Tip of the Month ~ Let Love Lead Today
What if you moved through your day with God’s love at the center?
Not just love for others—but love in how you care for yourself, how you show up, and how you honor the small, quiet moments that make up your days. A love that reflects His grace, His compassion, and His steady presence.
As I prepare for Taylor and Gabby’s wedding on August 2nd—a joyful celebration of love, commitment, and new beginnings—I’m reminded how important it is to show up everyday as my truest self. With a heart full of love, a spirit grounded in gratitude, and a deep awareness of how richly we are blessed. Watching them grow as parents to sweet little Malcolm has already been a gift—and this next chapter feels sacred.

So, I’m choosing to bring my whole heart to it. Not just on the wedding day, but in every ordinary moment leading up to it.
Because God’s love can be expressed in the simplest ways:
A kind word to yourself in the mirror—because you are His beloved
A pause before responding to someone—with patience and gentleness
The care you take preparing a nourishing meal—for yourself or your family
The grace you offer yourself when your to-do list isn’t finished
The courage to set a boundary that protects the peace He’s given you
Love isn’t always loud. It’s steady. Intentional. Gentle. And when it’s rooted in faith, it becomes a living expression of God’s presence in and through you.
So today, ask yourself: ✨ Where can I offer more love—in my thoughts, my choices, my presence? ✨ How can I let His love flow through me into the ordinary moments of this one precious day?
Because love isn’t just something we feel. It’s how we live. It’s how we reflect the heart of God.
Journal Prompt: How can I bring more of God’s love into the ordinary parts of my day? Into a special life event? Where in my life could a little more love—toward myself, others, or God—make a meaningful difference?
Did you know I'm also a life coach? Think of it as a gym membership for your soul! Curious if life coaching is the right next flourishing move for you? Let's connect on a free Discovery Call and talk about the possibilities.
Life coaching feels like oxygen to your soul. Doesn't that sound amazing?
I believe self-care is not a luxury—it’s a necessity. It requires intentional practice of the habits that nurture and sustain a healthy body, mind, and soul.
